Fathom is Fathom's AI business tools product, launched in 2020. Free AI notetaker for meetings with unlimited recordings, instant summaries and CRM sync for teams.
It is aimed at beginner users — the learning curve is very gentle. Day one you would use it for client calls, team standups and CRM note entry. It runs on Web and Desktop, with no mobile app, and there is an API if you want it inside your own systems.
Where it shines
In testing against the rest of the category, two things stand out: genuinely useful free plan and very fast summaries. The feature set behind that is unlimited recordings, instant summaries, ask-your-meetings chat and CRM sync.
