Windsurf is Windsurf's AI coding product, launched in 2024. Agentic IDE with flows that keep the AI and developer working on the same codebase state.
It is aimed at intermediate users — the learning curve is moderate. Day one you would use it for full-stack features and debugging. It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, with no mobile app, and there is no public API.
Where it shines
What you are really paying for here: clean agent UX and good value. The feature set behind that is cascade agent, live previews and terminal awareness.
