Hex is Hex Technologies' AI data & analytics product, launched in 2019. Collaborative data workspace combining SQL, Python and an AI agent (Magic) that writes queries and builds interactive apps.
It is aimed at advanced users — the learning curve is steep. Day one you would use it for analytics engineering, executive dashboards and data exploration. It runs on Web, with no mobile app, and there is an API if you want it inside your own systems.
Where it shines
What you are really paying for here: serious tool for data teams and AI suggestions grounded in your schema. The feature set behind that is notebook + SQL cells, magic AI agent, data apps, warehouse connectors and version control.
